Multimedia artist Wolfgang Tillmans and electronic musician Powell have announced a new collaborative project under the name Powell Tillmans. Their forthcoming EP Spoken By the Other drops November 16 via XL. You can listen to the project’s debut single “Feel the Night” below.
Of the collaboration, Powell said in a statement: “Recording the EP was almost the process of losing the expectations that might be placed upon myself... It made me feel very out of my comfort zone, but I think working with Wolfgang has pushed me to trust myself more. To feel more.”
Powell’s last full-length album, Sport, arrived in 2016. That same year, Tillmans’ then-unreleased track “Device Control” found its way into the beginning and end of Frank Ocean’s Endless LP.
