Richard Swift Tribute Concert to Feature the Shins’ James Mercer, Tim Heidecker, More

A tribute concert for the late Richard Swift will take place at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on December 13. The event will feature performances by the Shins’ James Mercer, Tim Heidecker, Damien Jurado, Foxygen, Cold War Kids, the Mynabirds, Pure Bathing Culture, and others. All proceeds from the event will go to Richard Swift’s family. Check out the poster for the concert below, and find tickets here.

Another tribute concert for Swift will take place at Rough Trade in Brooklyn, New York on December 9. The lineup includes Hamilton Leithauser, Cults, Valerie June, Nathaniel Rateliff, My Morning Jacket’s Patrick Hallahan and Tom Blankenship, and others. Find tickets and more information here.

Richard Swift died in July from causes related to alcohol addiction. He was 41. Since his death, Swift’s final album The Hex was released. Earlier this month, a vinyl subscription series was launched in his memory.
