Questlove has designed a spatula for Williams Sonoma, as part of its new charity campaign. “My spatula design is based on the afro pick I wear in my hair,” Questlove said in a statement. “The reasons are simple, and the reasons are several: it has resonance with power, peace, self-possession, and self-awareness. Those are all different kinds of food for the soul. This spatula helps with food for the body.” Check it out below. Faith Hill, Bobby Flay, Jeff Bridges, Alton Brown, and others also designed spatulas for the campaign. 30% of the proceeds from the celebrity-designed tools will go towards No Kid Hungry, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.

Earlier this year, Questlove’s new chef book, something to food about: Exploring Creativity with America's Most Innovative Chefs, was nominated for the James Beard Foundation Book Award for Nonfiction.
