Pharrell Williams sent President Donald Trump a cease and desist letter today after the president played his song “Happy” at a political event in Indiana, THR reports. The event took place on Saturday, October 27—the same day as the shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. Eleven people were killed. The Washington Post confirmed that “Happy” was played at Trump’s event.

“There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose,” reads the letter, which was obtained by Pitchfork. Williams’ legal team specifies that Trump will never receive permission to play the song and accuse Trump of copyright infringement.
