Perfume Genius and Empress Of have come together to collaborate on a rework of the Empress Of song “When I’m With Him.” Described as the “Perfume Genius cover” of the song, the track sees both Lorely Rodriguez and Mike Hadreas singing together atop new production by one of the track’s original producers, Jim-E Stack. “When I’m With Him” originally appeared on Empress Of’s album Us, released last year. Perfume Genius’ most recent album No Shape came out in 2017. Last year saw him released a remix EP, Reshaped.
