In August, SZA released three new tracks—“I Hate You,” “Joni,” and “Nightbird”—on an anonymous SoundCloud account. Tonight, she has officially released the first as “I Hate U.” Listen to her latest official single below.

SZA released “Hit Different” with Ty Dolla $ign last September, her first new single as a lead artist since 2017’s Ctrl. She followed it with the B-side “Good Days” at the end of the year, and released a video for the track in March. Although she’s appeared on recent tracks with Doja Cat, Isaiah Rashad, Saint Jhn, and more (as well as releasing “The Anonymous Ones” via the Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack), she has yet to announce details for a full-length follow-up to Ctrl.
