Solange has been named the 2018 Harvard Foundation Artist of the Year. The annual honoree is selected by the students and faculty of the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations at Harvard University; past honorees include Viola Davis, Queen Latifah, Jackie Chan, Shakira, and John Legend. Solange will accept the award at a ceremony on March 3 during Harvard’s annual Cultural Rhythms festival. She was previously named Glamour Woman of the Year and also received the Billboard Impact Award last fall.

Solange recently appeared in a Helmut Lang photo project alongside Kanye West and also starred in a Calvin Klein campaign alongside Kelela, Blood Orange, and others. Solange’s most recent studio album A Seat at the Table was released in 2016.
