Soccer Mommy has shared a cover of Dixie Chicks’ 1998 song “Wide Open Spaces.” In a statement, Soccer Mommy’s Sophie Allison says, “I think ‘Wide Open Spaces’ is one of those perfect ’90s alt country songs. Plus it’s relatable to any girl who’s moved away from home and had to start a new life somewhere.” Check it out below via Amazon Music.

Soccer Mommy is not the only notable artist to cover Dixie Chicks recently: Back in June, Priests’ Katie Alice Greer covered their 1999 album Fly in its entirety.

Earlier this year, Soccer Mommy released the new album Clean. She is currently on tour, including dates with Kacey Musgraves.
