Normani performed “Wild Side” at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (September 12). As expected, she had impressive choreography, but she was also surprisingly joined by Teyana Taylor. Watch below.
Following her 2019 single “Motivation,” Normani returned in July with Cardi B for “Wild Side.” Between those two tracks, she made “Diamonds” with Megan Thee Stallion for the Birds of Prey soundtrack. She more recently joined Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar in their video for “Family Ties.”
Although Normani had no VMA nominations of her own this year, she appeared in the visual for Cardi B’s and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP,” which got a nod for Video of the Year. Sean Bankhead, who choreographed “WAP,” also choreographed Normani’s “Wild Side” and “Motivation” videos.
