Mac DeMarco has shared a cover of “Honey Moon” by Japanese music icon Haruomi Hosono (Yellow Magic Orchestra, Happy End). Check it out below. The song originally appeared on Hosono’s 1975 album Tropical Dandy. Mac’s rendition is out via Light in the Attic, who will also release it as a limited edition 7" vinyl single on “honey yellow” colored vinyl, with Hosono’s original on the B-side. Light in the Attic also recently announced new vinyl reissues of five of Hosono’s solo albums. These reissues mark the first time the LPs have been released outside of Japan.

Earlier this month, Mac announced the launch of his own record label—fittingly dubbed Mac’s Record Label—and his first ever solo tour. Along the way, he’ll play at Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, taking place November 1-3 at La Grande Halle de la Villette. Tickets are available now.
