Sade’s new song “The Big Unknown” is finally here. Check out its lyric video below. As previously reported, the new track is set to appear on the soundtrack to Steve McQueen’s new film Widows. “It was an honour to work with such a legend,” McQueen said about Sade’s contribution. Widows, which was adapted from the UK crime series of the same name, stars Viola Davis, Daniel Kaluuya, Robert Duvall, and others. The film hits U.S. theaters November 16. Its soundtrack, featuring the film’s score by Hans Zimmer, is out digitally November 16, on CD on November 30, and vinyl on December 28 (via Milan Records).
Earlier this year, Sade contributed the song “Flower of the Universe” to Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time—it marked her first new track in seven years. Her bandmate Stuart Matthewman revealed that they’ve begun work on a new record. Their last release was 2010’s Soldier of Live.
