Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper to Perform “Shallow” at the 2019 Oscars

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are set to perform at the 2019 Academy Awards, the Academy has announced today via Twitter. Gaga and Cooper will perform their A Star Is Born track “Shallow.”

In a series of tweets over the past couple of days, the Academy has also confirmed that the 2019 Academy Awards ceremony will include performances of the following Best Original Song nominees: “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs) will be performed by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, “I’ll Fight” (RBG) will be performed by Jennifer Hudson, and “The Place Where Lost Things Go” (Mary Poppins Returns) will be performed by “a surprise special guest.”

The Academy has yet to confirm whether or not Kendrick Lamar and SZA will play their Black Panther single “All the Stars.” Both “Shallow” and “All the Stars” are up for Best Original Song. Black Panther and A Star Is Born are both nominated for Best Picture. Lady Gaga was nominated for Best Actress for her role as Ally in ASIB.
