The Wiener's Circle is a hot dog stand located in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood that has become famous for the insults its staff and customers hurl at each other. (It's also known for stunts like serving three-inch hot dogs as “Trump Footlongs.”) Last Saturday night, December 15, that staff included none other than Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Steve Albini, and comedian Jeff Garlin (“Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “The Goldbergs,” “Arrested Development”).

The trio joined infamous Wiener's Circle insult queen Roberta “Poochie” Jackson and others behind the counter as part of a fundraiser for Poverty Alleviation Chicago, an organization founded by Albini's wife Heather Whinna. For the past two decades, Whinna, Albini, and many famous friends have been delivering money, food, gifts, and other items to needy families in Chicago on Christmas morning, as part of their Letters to Santa program. Check out photos and video from the evening below, including Tweedy telling a customer to “step the fuck up,” in true Wiener's Circle fashion.

Items in Letters to Santa's current fundraiser include a studio session with Albini, a Skype session with Fred Armisen, and more.
