Five of his albums are getting reissued for the first time outside of Japan. Paraiso (1978), Philharmony (1982), and omni Sight Seeing (1989) are out August 10. Hosono House (1973) and Cochin Moon (1978) are out on September 28. The remastered records come with new translated interviews with Hosono. Hosono has also announced his first-ever UK shows as a solo artist. He’ll perform at the Barbican Centre in London on June 23 and the Old Market in Brighton on June 25.

The press release for the series quotes Mac DeMarco, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Laraaji, and Cibo Matto’s Miho Hatori, who discuss Hosono’s influence. “Hosono has been the main reason I've continued making music since I was like 19,” said DeMarco.
