Kendrick Lamar and SZA Not Performing at 2019 Oscars

Their Black Panther single “All the Stars” is the only Best Original Song nominee that won’t be performed

Kendrick Lamar and SZA will not perform their Oscar-nominated Black Panther song “All the Stars” at this weekend’s Academy Awards, Variety reports and Pitchfork can confirm. The other four songs up for Best Original Song will be performed during the Oscars.

In addition to “All the Stars,” the Best Original Song nominees are A Star Is Born’s “Shallow” (Lady Gaga, Andrew Wyatt, Anthony Rossomando, and Mark Ronson), The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” (Gillian Welch and David Rawlings), Mary Poppins Returns’ “The Place Where Lost Things Go” (Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman), and RBG’s “I’ll Fight” (Diane Warren).
