Last week, South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster shared a new video called “13 MUSIC.” It purportedly featured a track co-written and co-produced by Kanye West and his collaborator Malik Yusef, featuring contributions from Pharrell Williams and Vic Mensa. “The Wire” actor Michael K. Williams featured in the video. After its release, however, Kim Kardashian tweeted, “Kanye is not involved and did not produce this song.” The video has since been taken down and Gentle Monster deleted its tweet announcing the collaboration.

According to Gentle Monster’s site, “13 MUSIC” was part of their “13” campaign, which consisted of records co-produced by Kanye and Yusef for a “music series album.” Gentle Monster will announce future artists to contribute to the campaign.

It was recently reported that Malik Yusef allegedly misrepresented himself as a Kanye representative to book a performance with fashion brand Philipp Plein. Last month, Kanye jumped on YNW Melly’s “Mixed Personalities.” Kanye’s forthcoming album, Yandhi, has been postponed twice. In 2018, he shared ye and the Kid Cudi collaboration Kids See Ghosts. At the 2019 Grammys, Pharrell took home Producer of the Year.
