Kanye West and Drake Pose for Photo Together in Apparent Beef Squash

It seems that Drake and Ye (fka Kanye West)’s long-running beef may have come to an end. Ye posted a new photo tonight where he poses with Drake and J Prince; its caption is the dove of peace emoji. Drake also shared a video with Ye and another one with Dave Chappelle.

The photo and video, below, follow Ye’s recent public invitation to Drake asking him to join him at a December 7 event in Los Angeles. “It’s time to put it to rest,” Ye said at the time. The development came before the official release of “Life of the Party,” a Drake diss track, seemingly leaked by Drake, that featured André 3000.

After Drake played the song, André 3000 released a statement regarding his involvement, via a representative. “The track I received and wrote to didn’t have the diss verse on it and we were hoping to make a more focused offering for the Donda album but I guess things happen like they are supposed to,” he said. “It’s unfortunate that it was released in this way and two artists that I love are going back and forth.”

Though their conflict dates back years (in 2018, Drake claimed that Ye was the source behind Pusha T’s information on “The Story of Adidon”), it was reignited earlier this summer when Drake appeared on the Trippie Redd single “Betrayal.” That song contained the lines: “All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know/Forty-five, 44 (Burned out), let it go/Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone.”

Ye fired back the next day on Instagram, where he posted what appeared to be a screenshot of a group text thread containing the new contact “Pusha.” The screenshotted text message read, “I live for this. I’ve been fucked with by nerd ass jock n----s like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you.” It also featured a photo of Joaquin Phoenix in character as the Joker.

The following week, Ye posted Drake’s Toronto address on Instagram, but deleted it shortly after. Drake then posted an Instagram Story of himself laughing in a car. He subsequently released Certified Lover Boy, which disses Ye on Track 7, titled “7am on Bridle Path.”
