Grimes has shared a new remix of her recent single “We Appreciate Power.” Billed as a “Nightcore Remix” and produced by HANA, the track sees the original song (also featuring HANA) sped up and pitch-shifted. BloodPop® (the producer formerly known as Blood Diamonds) has also shared a remix of “We Appreciate Power.” Check those both out below.
For the uninitiated: nightcore refers to a niche sub-genre of remixes and edits that is characterized by its chipmunk-ed vocals and high tempos. The name originates from a Norwegian DJ duo called Nightcore that was active in the early 2000s. Grimes’ most recent full-length album Art Angels was released in 2015.
