Grimes has dropped a demo for a new song called “Pretty Dark.” Watch a visual for the track below. In the video’s description, she clarifies that the song is “not a single” and won’t appear on the next Grimes album. “This is from an AR musical im working on,” she wrote. She added, “while im finishing my album im just gonna start casually dropping stuff as I see fit.” The new demo follows her recently shared single “We Appreciate Power” featuring HANA.
Grimes’ last full-length release was 2015’s Art Angels. She said she wanted to release a new LP earlier this year before the end of 2018. She’s since shared a “working” tracklist for the project. Grimes recently shared “Play Destroy” featuring Poppy, a track with Jimmy Urine, and has composed the theme music for a new Netflix animated series.
