Grimes Says New Album Out This Year

Grimes has confirmed on Twitter that she will release a new album this year. Responding to a tweet celebrating the six-year anniversary of Visions, she writes, “...a nu one out this year so 3 albums in 6 years is not a bad level of productivity.” When a fan asked when to expect the new record, she responded, “i would say spring but realistically, fall.” See her tweets below. Grimes’ most recent album, Art Angels, arrived in 2015. Earlier this week, she appeared alongside Joanna Newsom in a new Rodarte campaign. In December, she gave fans an update on her new music: “just played label new music they rly dig it so hopefully smthn soon.”
