Grateful Dead Long Strange Trip Documentary Gets DVD Release

Physical editions of the four-hour film, executive produced by Martin Scorsese, arrive this fall

Long Strange Trip—the 2017 documentary about the Grateful Dead, directed by Amir Bar-Lev and executive produced by Martin Scorsese—will get a physical release this fall. The four-hour film will be released as a single Blu-ray and a 2xDVD set, as well as a limited, deluxe edition with additional footage including a “previously unreleased, six-song live performance” at England’s Hollywood Festival from May 24, 1970. All editions are due out November 9, with the deluxe version exclusively available from Dead.net.
