Gesaffelstein Returns, Signs to Columbia

The electronic producer has worked with Kanye, the Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, and more

Gesaffelstein is back. After mysterious billboards began surfacing in New York City and Paris, Columbia Records has announced that it has signed the French producer, born Mike Levy. Gesaffelstein’s debut, Aleph, arrived in 2013, the same year he broke through as a producer on Kanye’s Yeezus. In 2015, he provided the soundtrack for the film Maryland. This year, he worked with the Weeknd on his project My Dear Melancholy,. Pitchfork has reached out to Gesafffelstein’s representatives for more information.
