The Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody won big tonight at the Golden Globes. The film picked up the award for Best Motion Picture—Drama over A Star Is Born, Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, and If Beale Street Could Talk. The Rami Malek-starring film is the highest-grossing music biopic of all time. Rami Malek won Best Actor for his performance as Freddie Mercury.

Bohemian Rhapsody went through developmental hell before finally making it to theaters. Sacha Baron Cohen was attached to the role of Freddie Mercury before dropping out of the film. Director Bryan Singer was fired before he finished filming and was replaced by Dexter Fletcher. Singer remains credited as the film’s director since he completed the majority of the film.
