Björk Announces New Concert Performance Cornucopia

Her “most elaborate stage concert yet” debuts in New York next spring

Björk has announced a new concert performance called Cornucopia. It debuts spring 2019 in conjunction with the opening of New York arts center The Shed. In a statement, Björk wrote, “This winter I will prepare my most elaborate stage concert yet, where the acoustic and digital will shake hands, encouraged by a bespoke team of collaborators.”

The performance is directed by John Tiffany (Once, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and features the seven-piece female Icelandic flute ensemble who appeared on Björk’s 2017 album Utopia. Additionally, the production was made alongside media artist Tobias Gremmler, stage designer Chloe Lamford, choreographer Margrét Bjarnadóttir, costume designer Iris van Herpen, artist James Merry, and others. Dates have yet to be announced.
