Big Boi has been cast as Motown founder Berry Gordy in TV One’s upcoming biopic The Bobby DeBarge Story, Broadway World reports. Big Boi confirmed the news in the below Instagram post. Bobby DeBarge was the lead singer in the group Switch, and he worked with his siblings’ band DeBarge. Switch released multiple albums on Gordy’s Motown Records imprint Gordy Records in the late ’70s and early ’80s.
Big Boi is coming off a performance at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. He recently released a new song featuring Killer Mike and announced a Dungeon Family tour.
