Coachella will return in April, and today (January 12), the festival announced its full 2022 lineup. Kanye West (officially billed as Ye), Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and Swedish House Mafia will headline the festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Check out the full lineup for the fest below. Coachella 2022 will take place across two weekends: April 15-17 and April 22-24.

(On April 6, Coachella revealed that Update: Kanye West is off the lineup; the Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia will headline in his place.)

The lineup also includes Phoebe Bridgers, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Danny Elfman, Doja Cat, Run the Jewels, Jamie xx, Carly Rae Jepsen, Vince Staples, Japanese Breakfast, Baby Keem, Caribou (and Daphni), City Girls, Denzel Curry, Caroline Polachek, 100 gecs, DJ Koze, Turnstile, Rina Sawayama, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, the Avalanches, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Arooj Aftab, Orville Peck, Nilüfer Yanya, Disclosure, Brockhampton, PUP, the Blessed Madonna, Peggy Gou, Spiritualized, Amber Mark, Slowthai, Fatboy Slim, Maxo Kream, Idles, J.I.D, girl in red, Duck Sauce, BadBadNotGood, Amyl and the Sniffers, and many more. Once again this year, the festival will livestream on Coachella’s YouTube channel.

Prior to the festival’s COVID-19-related 2020 cancellation, the announced headliners included Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine, and Travis Scott. Ocean will instead headline Coachella 2023. Scott’s headliner status was called into question after the Astroworld 2021 tragedy that led to 10 people’s deaths.

The event was originally postponed in March 2020. Festival organizers attempted to push the festival to October 2020, but the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic led to its eventual cancellation. It marked the first time Coachella had been canceled outright in 20 years, and following the cancellation, AEG initiated a string of layoffs, furloughs, reduced hours, and salary cuts. Coachella was then rescheduled to April 2021 before being once again canceled in January 2021 due to ongoing coronavirus concerns.

Back in October, Coachella and Stagecoach festivals announced they would no longer require full vaccination for attendees at the 2022 festival. “After seeing first-hand the low transmission data and successful implementation of safety protocols at our other festivals this past month, we feel confident that we can update our health policy to allow for: Negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event OR proof of full vaccination,” organizers wrote on social media. The festival’s parent company AEG had previously issued a nationwide vaccine mandate at all of its events and facilities.

Coachella 2019 was headlined by Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, and Tame Impala. Revisit “What Happens When a Music Festival Is Canceled Due to Coronavirus?” on the Pitch, and follow along with Pitchfork’s full coverage of Coachella 2022.
