Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Marvel's Avengers playable demos coming to gamescom 2019

Square Enix will have five games for you to try at gamescom 2019.

Those attending gamescom 2019 should stop by the Square Enix booth and give its games a go.

In a "worldwide first", attendees will be able to go hands-on with Marvel's Avengers. Players will be able to try out superheros Black Widow, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor. The demo will feature the "preliminary incident" of the game's original Avengers story.

Marvel Avengers is out on May 15, 2020 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.

A demo for Final Fantasy 7 Remake will also be available for the first time in Europe. This hands-on will provide players with the first look at the game before its release for on March 3 for PS4.

Speaking of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 14 Online will have a presence at the show. Square said the playable demo will be "powered by Acer's latest Predator" gaming hardware. Stage shows with the makers of the game including producer and director Naoki Yoshida, and main writer and loresmith Banri Oda will take place throughout the week. There will also be a cosplay competition on August 23, and a fan gathering that evening.

Trials of Mana, the latest title the series and full remake of the RPG classic, will be at the show with a new playable demo. Attendees will be checking out an early section of the game which is slated for early 2020.

Finally, Square will also show a trailer for Life is Strange 2: Episode 4 - Faith. The episode will be released on August 22.

The annual gamescom event takes place August 20-24 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne.
