BioWare celebrates N7 Day with Xbox One X patch for Mass Effect Andromeda, hints at a future for the series

As part of BioWare's N7 Day celebrations, the studio upgraded Mass Effect Andromeda with support for Xbox One X.

The Xbox One X patch for Mass Effect Andromeda is available now, long after anyone imagined it'd come. The 1.68GB patch upgrades the game's resolution.

Mass Effect Andromeda already supports these features on PS4 Pro, but the game never got Xbox One X enhanced because BioWare decided to pull support after Andromeda bombed critically and commercially.

BioWare also touched on the future of Mass Effect, with both studio head Casey Hudson, and Anthem lead producer Michael Gamble talking about imagining future Mass Effect games. It's very noncommittal, of course, but it's certainly better than nothing.

"We still have stories left to tell in this universe...the future is bright," Gamble said on Twitter.

N7 Day is a celebration of everything Mass Effect, taking place November 7 every year.
