Batman Arkham Knight PC port fiasco is looming over them i guess
Sony likely demanded a higher quality port than their standard fare.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but no developer is known yet. But willing to bet it's an internal one at Naughty Dog. There were hiring specifically for developers who were experts in PC ports.
I think they're just making sure its in tip top shape. After HZD launch, they should've learned that.

It's usually the main developer + help from another studio.
Horizon was Virtuos and GG and Nixxes helped with some later patches
GoW was Jetpack Interactive and Santa Monica
Days Gone was surprisingly made by Sony Bend only
Spider-Man and MM are apparently Nixxes and Insomniac.
I'm sure the delay is entirely because they wanted it to run flawlessly on the steam deck day one
I did hear a rumor Bend was doing the remake port but I don't remember where I read it. But if they are doing it, it's in really good hands.

Yeah, I'd guess Iron Galaxy doesn't have the game running currently in a good enough state on PC for Sony, hence a delay to avoid another Horizon situation which is fair. Though I hope this hiring not so great studios for PC porting will be a thing of the past moving forward with Nixxes at the helm.
I say take your time and release it when it's actually ready. It's an old game and I don't mind waiting some more months.

I don't know if their overall record is that bad, but they do a lot of ports, and they have some pretty bad ones to their name. Arkham Knight was a huge fiasco.
Nah, the days of Arkham Knight are very much gone. They're okay.
They didn't even say coming soon. They just said "in development for PC" so don't expect anything if it's by Iron Galaxy lol
Neil Druckmann said 'shortly there after on PC' after that trailer finished.

Yeah, it's been 7 years since AK and Iron Galaxy has improved as a port developer since then. Why are we still acting like that's the end all and be all of their work?

October 19th, 2022 changed to December 30th, 2022.
Now iam not sure if both were placeholders or they somehow think that the older but real date will get camoflaged by the placeholder date. lol
