Sony is consistently terrible at next-gen conversions. It's really surprising, you'd think they'd be more on top of it.
I never really thought Smart Delivery would be as big of a convenience as it is but they keep getting tossed soft pitches like this.

Honestly, it's hilarious at this point. Just a company sprinting against the tide of obvious, mutually beneficial decisions for consumer & publisher.

Spiderman miles morales on PS4 allowed you to upgrade to the ps5 version for free.
This is for the new game not the old game. Pretty much its 20 bucks you have to pay if you want PS4 and PS5 copies.

The best part is, it feels like they're punishing people who don't have PS5s. "Oh, you can't find one of our constantly out-of-stock consoles? Well fuck you, pay us twice for every game."

Should've specified I meant the first game. Only upgrade-able when buying Deluxe
I think you overestimate how much "good pr" would come out of this issue.

Yea, obviously you don't get a free upgrade when there's a 10 dollar difference between the SKUs.
The key point here is that you apparently can't pay to upgrade after the fact if you buy the PS4 version. So they are squeezing an extra 10 out of people who plan to one day get a ps5 immediately rather than later. Doesn't seem like a huge deal but it certainly looks and feels shitty at a glance.
