WB Montreal, Warner's studio dedicated to expanding it's DC Video Game Universe, has just released a job app for a LEAD GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER that might point towards what their next title is.

· Strong code architecture and design skills.
· Ability to collaborate with engineers and content creators in an open, team environment

Key points there being the "new IP, next-gen platforms, and multiplayer a must."

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if that Batfamily game isn't actually Rocksteady's, but WB Montreal's. They were put in charge of the Arkham franchise after Rocksteady finished Arkham Knight, but their project(which was confirmed by insiders to be a Damian Wayne game) was canned.

With Spider-Man just releasing and Rocksteady and Crystal Dynamics working on their own superhero team games, it seems as if superhero games are back in full force.

EDIT: There's also some tidbits about weapons systems in there. Not sure if that points to something too.

I still can't believe they went an entire generation without releasing anything except a mobile game and... Arkham Knight DLC?

They better be doing a DC: Ultimate Alliance game if they're doing multiplayer. Single player for people who want it, multiplayer for people who do.

Let me roll as Red Hood while someone else is Supergirl, Lobo, and Richard Dragon, and I'd be game.

I am on the Fall 2019 train for PS5 release.

I want a Batman: Arkham Beyond game. Imagine NeoGotham on the next gen consoles.

There aren't a lot of DC properties beyond Batman stuff that excites me. What else does DC own (beyond Justice League IP's)? Lobo? Spawn? Savage Dragon?

2020 is a lock. If they're hiring only now I doubt they'd ship a game next year for next-gen.

Hopefully 2020 to let current gen mature and get more games, and have next gen get better specs for the same price as 2019.

Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Corps, Flash, Teen Titans, Young Justice, Legion of Superheroes and a ton more.

I think this is probably some sort of Batfamily game, and on the off chance it isn't, then it's Green Lantern Corps or Titans.

Arkham Beyond would be amazing, but I'd like a different hero to take the spotlight.

I loved Arkham Origins. I have long wanted that team to make another Batman title.

Let Rocksteady work on a different superhero IP now and let WB Montreal fully inherit the Batman throne going forward for next-gen.

Hard to be excited given the multiplayer talk and the fact that they've rebooted like 3 times since Origins released.

I'm with you o the Fall 2019 date for PS5, but I don't think this is Beyond Arkham. Only because it says new ip and multiplayer. So probs no Batman and more than just one hero.

I stand by my Suicide Squad Overwatch clone idea. All the character interactions of a hero shooter but with actual characters.
Unfortunately, battle royales have replaced hero shooter hype summarily.

Hope this gets off the ground considering WB Montreal has been swimming in cancelled games for the past few years.

Hopefully WB Montreal shows their new game soon, 2019 is kind of dry for me with the exception of Nintendo and a few others, would love another superhero game to play, even if it is another Batman title (which I think will be announced and released before this new IP shows its face)
