If it was up to me to pick one, it would be a brutal choice. But I think I would go with BG3 simply because BG2 is a classic master piece.
Fallen heroes is just like an xcom-y divinity title. More of a go do the mission combat focused with heroes of the titles type of deal.
As to what they've confirmed, they've denied time and time again that they're working on Baldurs Gate 3 as far as im aware they haven't said anything on original sin 3.
Still need to play 2, waiting 'till I get a new tv.

I remember after D:OS2 launched, which was already one of the greatest RPG's in the last 20 years, they said they wanted 3 to become even bigger.

I hope so, I really liked that game once it was ironed out.It's probably the sequel to Ego Draconis, not Original Sin 2.
I guess they're ready to tackle a full blown open world RPG now.

If this is BG3 I will legit lose my mind. That was THE game that got me into gaming in general.
For some reason I'd be surprised if DOS3 is their next big game. A good old traditional Divinity game is what I had expected. Either way I'll be happy to buy whatever it is Swen is selling me.
I'm replaying it now (never played the expansion, so that will be new to me), it is pretty fun, if super butt ugly. It is fun to see the DNA for a lot of the stuff they've used in the Original Sin games, and the actioney parts can hit that "zone out" sort of zen a lot of action rpgs nail.
There was a rummor quite some time back that BG 3 is being developed by Larian.
They denied this at the time but it's not to be rulled out.
If it plays anything like original sin 2 on a controller like I play it on pc then it should play just fine. Main disadvantage of playing with a controller on pc, outside of not being able to turn off helmets on the fly, is that a lot of the information easily viewed by keyboard and mouse players such as UI health and shield left for enemies is not easily seen on the controller UI. I don't know what it is with Larian and the controller UI removing information but they have done it twice and for the new title I will have to likely play on mouse and keyboard.
This would be my guess. They already have fairly big map hub bubbles, the next logical step would be to just go full open world.
Because I cannot see them changing from the upside down camera and making it more third person considering so much of the title and combat relies on the over the top camera.
Honestly I'd be ecstatic for either game at this point. BG3 would a true surprise though.
