Just make another one. Make it for the right price with the right expectations. Dont need to make wild promises.

To each his own I guess! :)

I couldn't get through 5 hours of Mankind Divided, but put 110 hours and 14 minutes into CP77. It did everything I needed it to do.

Currently Eidos is working on a new IP

Keep your expectations in check. The game furthest in development at Eidos Montreal right now is a new IP. If they release a new Deus Ex it won't be for a very, very long time.

Everyone can wish for free. Even Eidos. But after Mankind Divided I really don't see another Deus Ex game getting a similar budget. Let alone a bigger one.

Look I fucking loved the last Deus Ex games. But I fear if another 'big' budget Deus Ex game fails to sell it'd completely nuke the franchise forever. It'd be in a worse state than Mirror's Edge :(

Embracer was always going to get these studios to go back to what made them big in the first place, a new Deus Ex was guaranteed I'd say, and a modern huge one at that

Bring back the skill system. Make it as mechanically complicated as the original Deus Ex.

Have yet to play Cyberpunk 2077, but Mankind Divided is an incredible cyberpunk experience, so please do.
Mankind Divided and HR don't even come close to scale and complexity of Cyberpunks world so I doubt they can. Everyone loves to rag on CP 77 but basically no developer could achieve what they did besides maybe Rockstar or Naughty Dog.

Considering the two Deus Ex games they made are infinitely better than Cyberpunk 2077, and deserved for more commercial success than they got, I'd like to see it happen.

If they had actual dickloads of money, maybe they could achieve the same scale as an Elder Scrolls game or Kingdom Come (those are also immersive sims), but the resources going into one big city would be better spent on making multiple hub areas. Maybe multiple large levels based in the same city, like in Dishonored.

Actually Dishonored plays way more closely to the original Deus Ex than its sequels do (same main designer and all), so maybe look at those for inspiration too.

In order to do what Cyberpunk couldnt do you'd need to go full rockstar 6 years dev time 1000+ people. But I'd love a sequel to deus ex.

A new IP from Eidos Montreal sounds amazing. Very much looking forward to its eventual reveal.

I desperately *desperately* want the sequel and conclusion to Mankind Divided. As long as Eidos is interested and it's not a completely dead and gone pipe dream, I'll be happy to wait.

I don't think Deus Ex going open world would really add anything to the game, so hopefully "what Cyberpunk 2077 couldn't" doesn't include that.

I actually really enjoyed their take on Guardians of the Galaxy. Would have been kool if they made a sequel but I guess they don't have the license anymore? I wonder what the setting is for their new IP.

Wouldn't be hard to tell a more interesting story than Cyberpunk, they already managed that with their past Deus Ex games.

Big fan of the original, also liked Human Revolution a lot (somewhat weak story but most other aspects were really good). So how does Mankind Divided compare? I'm thinking about catching up with it but it has to be worth my time.

"Do what Cyberpunk couldn't" is concerning, on the face of it.

Scope creep would kill Deus Ex - a big open world GTA-like would lose what audience Deus Ex has, and wouldn't attract much of any other crowd because there's no way they'd ever get the budget to do it properly.

Please just keep it Deus Ex - if you have the money to expand the scope, then make it more globe-trotting like the original. Three city hubs. Stuff like that.

I wish them the best of luck as making a game that does what Cyberpunk couldn't is a MASSIVE undertaking for even the best in the business with truckloads of money and support. We're talking making a living breathing open world with cutting edge graphics when it releases and a reactionary set of gameplay systems that take into account your myriad of diverse decisions from upgrades to paths taken to people spoken to and how you do so, etc. That all with the fact it takes an army a long time to make a straight forward single player game. Good luck. Seriously I'd love to see them pull it off.
