Fortnite furthest north, furthest south, furthest east, and furthest west sign locations

Fortnite's eighth season has a pirate theme and what is more pirate-like than going on an adventure? In this particular challenge, you need to find the furthest points that face North, South, East, and West. This doesn't mean that they're always going to be exactly to the point on a compass. So this guide has all the locations on the map highlighted, as well as detailed locations for each of the points.

Please note that this page is for a challenge that is no longer active in Fortnite. For a full list of currently active challenges, please go to our Fortnite week 6 challenges page.

With the game being the global sensation that it is, there's a lot to learn about not only getting that all-important "Victory Royale", but also the changes to the map as the seasons progress, and the challenges you can seek to complete. Head over to our Fortnite guide hub for every single thing you need to get started. Alternatively, you can head back to our Fortnite week 6 challenges guide for an overview of all the weekly challenges for this Season in Fortnite.

Furthest sign locations map

Above is the map showing the locations for all the furthest points. There are no other restrictions to this challenge, other than it needs to be completed during a competitive match. I recommend therefore that you use the LTM Team Rumble to take on this challenge. While the four locations roughly do show that they are due south, due west, and due east, north is a little on the deceptive side. So we've included more detailed points to exactly where the signposts you need to locate are, and the nearest named location to them if applicable.

Furthest North - Near Junk Junction

North is by far the most misleading of the bunch. The part of the map that's closest to the most northernly point is actually to the north-west, very close to Junk Junction.

The most southern point of Fortnite's map is in Lucky Landing. Player is facing a sign with a S on a compass.

Furthest South - Lucky Landing

Drop into the eastern side of Lucky Landing and head up towards the tower on the hill. Just a little to the left of that, there is a sign with an S on it. This is the furthest point to the south. While you're there, you can also nab a fair few items from Lucky Landing to continue the match.

The most eastern point of Fortnite's map is near the abandoned mansion. Player is facing a sign with a E on a compass.

Furthest East - Abandoned Mansion

This one should be relatively straightforward to work out, but just south of the Abandoned Mansion, there's a part of the map that sticks out a fair bit. Head down towards that point to find a sign with an E on it. If you hit the desert biome, you've gone too far.

The most western point of Fortnite's map is in Snobby Shores. Player is facing a sign with a W on a compass.

Furthest West - Snobby Shores

Your final sign point is close to Snobby Shores, to the south-west where the island sticks out the most. Drop into Snobby Shores and head for the location as shown and you'll see a sign with a W on it. This is where you need to be to complete the challenge.

This concludes our furthest points guide, but there's plenty more challenges to complete in Season 8. You can find out where to find the volcano vents in our Fortnite Air Vents locations guide, while you can also visit the Giant Faces in their respective mountain tops by going to the locations highlighted in our Fortnite Giant Face locations guide.
