Rainbow Six Siege Twitch: what she can do and how to use her

Shocking

Widely considered another of the top operators in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, GIGN attacker operator Twitch uses her enhanced drones to effectively tamper with any potential electrical traps. She also has access to some great weapons and gadgets to complement this powerful skill, so this guide will cover all of that, as well as how to use them well.

Twitch operator guide

Twitch can be utterly devastating, but she is considered one of the harder operators to use effectively thanks to the fact that her shock drones affect so many electrical devices. Once you've got her drones mastered, head on over to our Rainbow Six Siege guide hub for more general tips on navigation and being an asset to your team.

Twitch's Stats

Armour: 2
Speed: 2

Twitch's Weapon Loadouts

Twitch has probably one of the best primary weapon sets in the game. The SG-CQB pump action shotgun packs a big punch and can be equipped with a vertical grip for a bit of stability. The F2 assault rifle is an absolute monster with decent damage, fire rate, and recoil, while the 417 marksman rifle can be especially precise when paired with a muzzle brake and vertical grip to reduce the recoil. Her sidearms include the P9 or the LFP586, which essentially boils down to damage versus recoil and capacity.

Twitch's Gadgets

Her gadget selection has changed a fair bit since launch with the current version giving Twitch players the choice between claymores or the breach charge. Either are decent choices with breach charges allowing for an explosive surprise provided her drone took out the cameras, and claymores keeping her back covered.

Twitch's Skill

Twitch has two drones, one of which is deployed during the setup phase. They're different from the standard drones in that she can't make them jump, but she can send an electrical taser. These are limited, so aim very carefully at far away targets like cameras. If you're a good aim though, Twitch can disable almost every electrical gadget the enemy has to offer, as well as the security cameras in each map to ensure the enemy are completely blind to your position. That said, they're still vulnerable to any electronic disrupting or shock inducing gadget; Mute, Bandit, and Kaid use these kinds of gadgets.

Should I pick Twitch?

Twitch is a constant annoyance for your opponents as she can render many gadgets useless by sending her taser from her drones to disable them. Since a lot of defenders use electrical gadgets, they will be looking for her drones specifically at the beginning as it is bulkier than a standard one, but taking out the cameras will help your team in the long run. Her weapons are also very effective to use, making her probably the most mandatory of attacking characters to run in a squad.

Twitch has been a rather powerful operator for the attacking team for years, so maybe you'd like to know which defenders aren't affected by her shock drone shenanigans? If so, our main Rainbow Six: Siege operators guide has links to each individual operator, as well as an overview on the more universally useful ones and which ones beginners should consider learning.
