Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Nemona final battle guide

How to take on Nemona after the Pokémon League

Julia Lee (she/her) is a guides producer, writing guides for games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Genshin Impact. She helped launch the Rift Herald in 2016.

After taking down the Elite Four and Champion in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, your rival Nemona will want to battle again (of course). Her fight is tougher than the Pokémon League, so you should be prepared before you take her on.

Just like the Champion, Nemona’s party is varied, meaning she has no one counter for all her Pokémon. However, since you made it this far, you should be sporting a diverse group of Pokémon that will be able to take her down.

Her Pokémon are all level 65, so you should be around the same level in order to beat her easily.

Her party is as follows:

  1. Lycanroc, level 65 (rock)
  2. Goodra, level 65 (dragon)
  3. Pawmot, level 65 (electric/fighting)
  4. Orthworm, level 65 (steel)
  5. Dudunsparce, level 65 (normal)
  6. Meowscarada, level 66 (grass/dark with grass Tera Type)
Skeledirge, level 66 (fire/ghost with fire Tera Type)
Quaquaval, level 66 (water/fighting with water Tera Type)

Her last Pokémon will be based on the starter she picked at the beginning of the game. Her starter choice has a natural weakness to whatever starter you picked.

After you beat her, you’ll complete the Victory Road portion of the game.
