Pawmi is Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s adorable Pikachu-clone and it evolves twice.

At level 18, Pawmi evolves into Pawmo. After walking around with it in Let’s Go mode, it will evolve into Pawmot. Upon evolution, Pawmot learns the special move Revival Blessing (like Rabsca), which revives one of your fainted Pokémon party members, making it a clutch Pokémon to have in your party.

Where to find Pawmi

You can find Pawmi in a ton of very early areas right off the bat. We caught ours on Poco Path, north of your house.

You can also catch its evolution Pawmo in the wild in tons of areas.

How to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot

To evolve your Pawmo into Pawmot, you have to walk with it in Let’s Go mode — when you release your Pokémon from their Poké Balls by pressing the R button. After taking 1,000 steps, your Pawmo will evolve into Pawmot the next time it levels. (You can level it by making it gain EXP via battle or by using a Rare Candy.)

We didn’t see any type of pedometer or other step counter in the game, so the best thing to do is to just walk around with Pawmo for a while and then level it up after a bit. If it doesn’t evolve, you just need to walk with it more.

If you run too fast, Pawmo will return to its ball, so we just leisurely snuck around while crouching (press B to crouch and sneak) around Mesagoza.
