Genshin Impact guide: How to unlock the Shakkei Pavilion domain

Some of Genshin Impact’s domains are locked behind puzzles, including Shakkei Pavilion domain. Though you can see it on the map, it’s blocked off by rocks. Our Genshin Impact Shakkei Pavilion guide will explain how to unlock the domain.

To get in, you’ll need to start doing the “Tatara Tales” world quest line. This is notably the quest that breaks the barrier around Tatarasuna area. To start the quest, interact with Toranosuke and Miyuki at the Kujou Encampment in Kannazuka.

As you go through the fairly straightforward quest, you’ll be able to activate the Kamuijima Cannons to destroy the barrier. However, one of these cannons can be used to destroy the rocks that block off the Shakkei Pavilion entrance. Use the cannon on the small island below.

Once you grab an Electrograna and activate the cannon, aim for the circle below. You’ll know you’ve opened the domain when a yellow gleaming light shines. If you missed, keep adjusting the cannon and try again.

After opening up the rocky wall, you’ll be able to enter the cave and unlock the Shakkei Pavilion domain. It’s a one-time clear domain, so you’ll get some Primogems, Electro Sigils, and other rewards for beating all the bad guys inside.
