World of Warcraft: Classic launches in summer 2019, Blizzard announced live on stage at the BlizzCon fan convention. The company also announced that everyone with a subscription to World of Warcraft will have access to Classic.
In August, Blizzard announced details on what to expect from the demo for World of Warcraft: Classic. That demo goes live today, both for attendees of the annual convention and those participating remotely via the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket. The demo runs now until 10 a.m. PT on Nov. 8.

World of Warcraft: Classic is a modern reinterpretation of the vanilla version of the legendary massively multiplayer online role-playing game, first released in 2004. The goal is to roll back to clock on the game’s lore and allow players to experience the beginning of the franchise all over again. However, fans will benefit from all of the back-end improvements and changes made to the game over the years.
The demo version of the game will be time-limited. According to a post on the official forums, fans will be able to play for a total of 60 minutes; they’ll then be required to wait out an additional 30 minute cool-down period before logging back in.
