The key to all of its evolutions

Eevee is one of the most popular Pokémon of all time, and for good reason. The adorable fox-like creature has eight different evolutions, each of which has its own cute design and elemental type. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players should rest assured that the popular choice will be easy to get early on in the game.

There are three locations where you can catch Eevee: West Province (Area 3), the route leading to the Pokémon League, and South Province (Area Two).

I found my Eevee in the fields next to the Pokémon Center in Medali (West). According to the Pokédex, Eevee is “rarely seen” but you should be able catch one if you keep running around and exploring until you see one. (I was able to catch two within twenty minutes.) Note: This was the case for both me and my colleague, but we did not see Eevee appear on the minimap that shows the Pokémon you can catch, so keep poking around even if you don’t see it there.
