Square Enix released a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on Friday, revealing previously unknown details on the upcoming PlayStation 5 version of the game. The footage showed us a glimpse of a new strategy minigame, a new Materia Summon (Ramuh), a boss fight with a machine from Scarlet, and an encounter with the dark, brooding masked character Nero.

The new Intergrade DLC follows Yuffie Kisaragi and her partner Sonon Kusakabe on their untold story in Midgar. The original Final Fantasy 7 game didn’t catch up with the two until after Cloud leaves Midgar. The remake’s expanded story will shed some light on what Yuffie and Sonon were up to before meeting up with Cloud and the gang.

The trailer shows a new minigame in this DLC. From the looks of it, it’s an auto chess-style battler based on the Fort Condor challenge from the original Final Fantasy 7. Square Enix calls it “a new tactical mini-game playable” in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intermission (Yuffie’s new chapter).

We also got some new story details. We see Yuffie and Sonon infiltrating Shinra and watch a confrontation with Scarlet, head of weapons development at Shinra, and one of her robots. A fight sequence shows a new Summon Materia as well, Ramuh, a powerful wizard that wields electricity.

Toward the end, the trailer reveals a mysterious character, Nero, who wears a face mask and devilish wings who is an antagonist from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy 7. The trailer closes with Yuffie looking over a sea of fire and her sobbing.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade comes to PlayStation 5 June 10. Square Enix says Intergrade will be exclusive to PS5 “for at least six months earlier than any other format.”
