This Death Stranding toy has way too many packages

Try and keep track of all those boxes

Sam Porter Bridges — in Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid form — has a very important mission: to deliver all the packages. The Japanese toy maker announced this week that it’s creating a vinyl figurine of Norman Reedus as Death Stranding’s Bridges.

It’s very cute, and comes with a ton of accessories. That’s either a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it. On one hand, you’re able to recreate the way I played through Death Stranding — walking at a glacial pace, boxes of all sizes stacked high on Sam’s back, stumbling over rough terrain. I mean, there’s nothing worse than making two trips, even if it takes me three hours to complete one mission.

But on the other hand, it’s a whole lot of tiny stuff to keep track of. Do you know who also likes tiny stuff? My cat. I’m certain that this thing would eventually come crashing to the ground, my perfect stack scattered about the living room floor, and all Sam’s boxes would become cat toys I’d never find again. Now that’s a failed delivery!

Here’s everything that’s included: Sam, Sam’s BB pod, a cryptobiote, four small silver cargo cases, four large silver cargo cases, four small gold cargo cases, four large gold cargo cases, five navy cargo cases, two head parts (hair up or down), sunglasses, a weapon, more hands, and the Odradek Terrain Scanner. The only thing it doesn’t come with is a beached thing (BT).

It’ll cost 8,800 yen ($80) for the four-inch figure and all its parts. Pre-orders are open now, with an expected release date in August. If you don’t want all the accessories, there’s another version available that’s about half the price.
