Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher teased for Ghost Recon Wildlands crossover

Ubisoft teases a fun, cross-Clancy cameo

It looks like Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher is back in action — and coming to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Ubisoft released a new teaser today that very strongly hints that the star of Splinter Cell is teaming up with the Ghost Recon squad for some action down ol’ South America way.

The teaser, for a special operations mission named The Call, features Fisher (aka “Matchwood”), clearly voiced by Michael Ironside, responding to a transmission from “Paladin.”

“Langley has sprung a leak and they need us to stick our thumb in it,” Paladin tells Fisher. “Brush up on your Spanish, you’re headed for Bolivia.”

“Look, I may need some extra firepower,” Fisher responds. “I’ve got friends in that neighborhood. Call the Ghosts.”

Ubisoft promises details on Ghost Recon Wildlands’ crossover with Splinter Cell next week on Monday, April 9. Earlier this week, Ubisoft outlined its plans for Year 2 content for Ghost Recon Wildlands, which includes teammate customization and a new PvP game mode called Sabotage.

Ghost Recon Wildlandsprevious crossover involved the Predator, and alongside Far Cry 5’s quirky downloadable content plans and Rainbow Six Siege’s alien infestation update, Ubisoft isn’t shy about getting a little weird with its properties.
