Explore Fallout: New Vegas Together With Upcoming Multiplayer Mod

by Brian Shea on Jan 27, 2016 at 12:32 PM

Be a lone wanderer no more. With a new mod from Mr. Mouse (also known as Corporal), players of the PC version of Fallout: New Vegas will be able to explore the Mojave Wasteland and even complete quests with friends.

The way the mod works is that one player hosts while the others are simulating the world through that player. The players' worlds synchronize around that of the host to deliver a uniformed experience for all players involved. That presents some issues, as a dead NPC can instantly fail a quest for the group. The developer goes into more details in a Reddit thread about the mod.

The New Vegas: Multiplayer mod hasn't entered public testing yet, but that hasn't stopped the developer from showing off some footage of it in action. You can check out a video from the modder below.

If you'd like to partake in the upcoming test, you can visit the official site of the mod, select your preferred username, and join in on the discussions while you wait for the testing to being.
