Did Machine Gun Kelly & Blackbear Set a Record With Their Yearlong Stay Outside the Hot 100 Top 10?

Machine Gun Kelly‘s “My Ex’s Best Friend,” featuring blackbear, just fell off the Billboard Hot 100 after 52 weeks — so the Tickets to My Downfall single spent a full year on the chart. Surprisingly, however, even after that long stay, it never hit the chart’s top 10.

Just how rare is that? That’s exactly what Brian C. Cole wanted to know, and we answer his question and more on a new “Ask Billboard” edition of the Pop Shop Podcast.
