“It’s an honor to be involved with a venue that will be such a great asset to St. Louis,” said Merker in a statement to Billboard. “The venue fills a much needed void in the market with its capacity that St. Louis has needed for years. Its amenities are unlike any other, and we are excited provide such a unique concert experience that will feel like a special intimate atmosphere.”

The Factory plans to work with a variety of agents, including selective outside promoters, representing a wide variety of music genres and performers.

The new venue will be a 52,000 square foot indoor concert venue with a 3,000 standing capacity and 2,500 capacity for seated events. The interior will take on an industrial vibe, which includes cues from old factories and manufacturing plants with finishes like weathered wood, metalwork stairs, exposed brick, vintage lighting fixtures and polished concrete.

“Our goal in helping develop this venue with [St. Louis developer] Michael Staenberg is for fans and artists to leave the building with the best experience ever, and no corners have been cut in order to do so,” added Merker. “I feel people need the return of live music now more than ever, and our grand opening couldn’t come soon enough.”

The Factory will be located at Chesterfield’s new entertainment campus called The District and feature seven bars, state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems and more. Amenities for the talent include five dressing rooms, private production office, a catering room with an outdoor deck, stage level load in, four loading docks and space for three tour buses.

The team at The Factory is already booking shows for 2021 and 2022. Take a virtual tour of the venue below.
