It's very early Tuesday and we've got a whopper of a leak for you.  A Sapphire spokesperson has reportedly spilled the beans to Chinese media unveiling very specific details with regards to AMD's upcoming 7nm based Radeon Navi graphics offerings.

The spokesperson confirmed that AMD is in fact planning to announce two Radeon RX Navi graphics cards, code named Navi XT and Navi Pro, AKA the AMD Radeon RX 3080 and Radeon RX 3070.  The announcement is allegedly coming as early as next week on Monday, the 27th of May.

AMD Radeon Navi XT RX 3080 Price & Performance Leak - $499 & Slightly Faster Than NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 2070

Let's first start with the AMD's full fat Navi XT chip which is expected to power the Radeon RX 3080. This GPU will allegedly deliver performance that's slightly better than that of the RTX 2070 and will sell for $499, which if true, would be exactly in line with what we've been consistently hearing over the past several months in terms of performance, although the alleged price is so much more expensive than what we had heard earlier, with earlier rumors pinning the RX 3080 as an RTX 2070 competitor for around ~$300

AMD Radeon Navi Pro RX 3070 Price & Performance Leak - $399 & Faster Than NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 2060

Moving on down the food chain we have the slightly cut back Navi Pro which is expected to power the Radeon RX 3070. This chip will allegedly deliver performance that falls between the RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 and carry an MSRP of $399. Again, the performance claim is exactly in line with all the information that's been seeping through the techsphere over the past little while. Although price wise, yet again, this is more expensive than what we had expected, with earlier rumors pinning this card's price closer to the $200 mark.

AMD NAVI XT & NAVI Pro - How Legitimate is this Leak?

I should point out that the specific nomenclature for AMD's upcoming graphics cards has yet to be confirmed, so we're using the RX 3080 and RX 3070 monikers as placeholders for the time being. What the products were actually referred to by the spokesperson is Navi XT and Navi Pro.
One additional bean that has been spilled is that Navi reportedly does not feature specific ray tracing hardware.

Additionally the article in which all of these details were published has since been taken down, which lends us to believe that this is indeed the real deal and that the Sapphire spokesperson may have unfortunately gotten into a heap of trouble. With that being said, please take it with a grain of salt because nothing is confirmed until AMD makes it official.

AMD Navi Radeon RX 3080 & Radeon RX 3070 Announcement, Launch Event & Release Date

That's not all we're leaving you with folks as we've also gotten specific details with regards to AMD's release plans for its upcoming Navi graphics cards. The company is expected to announce the cards less than a week from now on May 27, with a full-on launch and demonstration at E3 on June 10th. Whilst July 7 is when on-shelf availability of the cards is expected as well as the end of the review embargoes.

So the launch cadence looks like this : Debut on May 27 -> Launch Event on June 10 -> Reviews on July 7

Stay tuned, we're about to hear a lot more in just six days' time.
