Ubisoft first announced an Avatar game from the developers of The Division earlier this year, declining to offer any console or release plans at that time. This will be the second Avatar game Ubisoft publishes, as the publisher released James Cameron's Avatar: The Game in 2009 to coincide with the original film. Ubisoft's comment indicates the plan is to release in conjunction with the upcoming sequels, though no information is available about whether the game will be an adaptation of the upcoming Avatar films or an original story.The release dates for the four upcoming Avatar sequels were announced earlier this year, with the first, Avatar 2, coming in 2020, while Avatar 5 will hit theaters in 2025.
Today, Ubisoft confirmed that it plans to release four AAA titles in the next financial year, including a new Assassin's Creed, Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, and South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
