The newest episode of Rare's Sea of Thieves behind-the-scenes series focuses specifically on the Xbox One and PC game's clouds.

In the video, principal technical artist Valentine Kozin talks about how Rare went about designing the game's clouds and the challenges associated with creating "fluffy things." Another interesting takeaway from the video is that clouds can take on numerous shapes, including that of a pirate ship or a skull. Kozin goes on to say in the video that no one else is doing what Rare is doing with regards to clouds and the end result is the "most beautiful, picturesque skies."

This video is part of the Sea of Thieves "Tavern Talk" series in which developers at Rare talk about specific game elements. A video from last week highlighted the game's gorgeous-looking water.

Sea of Thieves is an Xbox Play Anywhere game. That means if you buy it (digitally) on Xbox One, you will get the PC version for free and vice versa. The game comes out in 2017, though a release date has not been announced.

Microsoft has also stated that this game is the best game that Rare has ever made.
