Made by streamer and modder Blurbs — the same creator behind the unsettling RDR2 mod that forces you to relive the memories of NPCs you’ve killed — this project was dreamt up and developed live on stream with help from viewers, one of whom suggested the Mortal Kombat angle. Although the mod doesn’t seem to be available for public download, it’s a joy to watch: Arthur pummeling a random gunslinger, curb-stomping a crocodile, and getting shredded by a grizzly — all staged like a fighting-game match. The standout moment is Arthur getting payback on Micah by shoving him in front of a moving train. Fatality.
My low point is the “plague cough” finisher, which bursts Micah with alarming amounts of blood — gruesome to the point of nausea.
